Our Tall Ships cruises for 2012 have concluded. Thank you to all who joined us on these beautiful sails, and we hope to see you again in 2013.

June 13 – 19, 2012 Baltimore/Sailabration – Two Hour Cruises

Sail aboard New Horizons, 50 ton, 60’, 47 passenger US Coast Guard Certified Tortola Motor Sailer for spectacular Tall Ship views from the water and an insider’s view of Baltimore’s rich history including the world famous Fort McHenry. Get an up-close experience of the international ships in Baltimore from June 13th until June 19th, 2012 to launch the celebration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and our National Anthem. More than 40 ships including tall ships from around the world, and US Navy, British and Canadian Grey Hulls are expected to dock in our famous Inner Harbor, Fells Point, Locust Point and Canton.

Baltimore Harbor Tall Ship Viewing Sails

June 13-18 – 9am, 11:30am, 2pm, 5pm, 7:30pm
Groupons welcome.

Join us for a relaxing experience as we sail through out the harbor to see the Tall Ships and Military vessels visiting for OpSail 2012. You’ll experience many of the following on your 2 hour cruise:

  • The stunning views that Baltimore’s Inner Harbor has to offer
  • Blue Angels Flyover (currently scheduled for 6/16 and 6/17 1-4pm – subject to change)
  • Fort McHenry, Fells Point, Locust Point and Canton.
  • Class A Tall ships, from both the US and Foreign Navies
  • Military vessels from the United States Navy

Fireworks and Tall Ships Sail

June 16 – 8pm
Groupons accepted with upgrade.

Get the best seats for the dazzling fireworks display and Tall Ship viewing.

It was the valiant defense of Fort McHenry and the US flag flying over the fort during the Battle of Baltimore that inspired Francis Scott Key to write “The Star Spangled Banner”. Be out on the water with the tall ships as they commemorate this moment in US history. You’ll have a front row seat for the fireworks display (weather permitting).

Parade of Tall Ships Sail

June 19 – 10am
Groupons accepted with upgrade.

Join us for a once in a lifetime experience, see the Tall Ships and Military vessels parade out of Baltimore Harbor.
A boxed lunch and complimentary drinks are included. You’ll experience the following on your 2 1/2 hour cruise:

  • Class A Tall Ships, from both the US and Foreign Navies
  • Military vessels from the United States Navy

 

Seacoast Sailing/New Horizons Locations and Instructions

  • Reservations will only be held up to 10 minutes before sail time, so please be sure to arrive at least 20 minutes early.
  • Be prepared to sail rain or shine.
  • Provisioned FOOD AND BEVERAGES available on board — CASH only please.
  • Feel free to BYOB – one small soft cooler.
  • All sails include complimentary iced tea, lemonade, water and snacks
  • Boat name: New Horizons – Dark blue hull.

From the North:

  • Follow 95 S toward Baltimore, staying in right lane through the Fort McHenry Tunnel
  • Exit right immediately after the tunnel onto Key Highway.
  • Bear right at light onto Key Highway
  • Follow approximately 1 mile to 400 Key Highway

We are located in a small Marina that is located a short walk out the harbor from the Rusty Scupper. When you are at the Rusty Scupper, looking at the water turn right and follow path along water (keeping water on your left) walk 200 yds and you will come to a sharp right turn in path – Marina is directly in front of you. Look for Blue/Yellow/Red sign – “Tall Ship Sails”  Welcome Aboard. Parking is available in the parking garage on-site.

From the South:

  • Follow 95 N toward Baltimore.
  • Take the last exit before tunnel on to Key Highway.
  • Stay left at the light onto Key Highway
  • Follow approximately 1 mile to 400 Key Highway.

From Baltimore North:

  • Take 83 S to downtown Baltimore.
  • Turn right onto Lombard Street.
  • Turn left on Light Street (stay in left lanes)
  • Bear left onto Key Highway by the Maryland Science Center.
  • Follow Key Highway for approximately 1/10 mile to 400 Key Highway.

The marina will be on the left hand side of Key Highway on the premises of the Rusty Scupper Restaurant. Parking is available in the parking garage on-site.
